Long Time AgoPosted by Ken (Chicago, United States) on 7 May 2009 in Cityscape & Urban. This photograph was taken of the famous Chicago Theatre on State Street. Every image I have ever seen was of the complete building and sign, which I always found to be a pre-packaged tourist shot. I chose to show only part of the sign ( I think you can figure out what the whole thing says) and still encapsulate the classic French-revival baroque-style that cost $4M back in 1921.

Laurie from New Jersey, United StatesI think this is a really clever composition. Well done. Forces one to focus on those amazing details which may have gotten lost in a wider view. 8 Jun 2009 11:07am |
